What is microblading?
Microblading is a cosmetic tattoo procedure that uses a specialized tool to create thin, hair-like strokes on the epidermis layer of the skin.
Does microblading hurt?
Discomfort should be minimal and varies by cosmetic tattoo procedure. A numbing cream is used to insure a painless procedure, however pain tolerance varies from client to client. Receiving the procedure during your menstrual cycle may increase sensitivity.
How long does microblading take?
The initial session takes 2-3 hours and includes several stages: initial consultation, outlining shape, numbing, and the actual microblading process. More details on what goes into the initial microblading session with White Rabbit Studios be found here.
How long does microblading last?
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo. The pigments are designed to fade over time naturally. Factors such as skin type, iron deficiency, lifestyle, and sun exposure can affect the rate at which these pigments are broken down. Microblading typically requires a minimum of two sessions – touch-ups are normal and to be expected. With proper aftercare the tattoo should last approximately 18-24 months.
* please not that final results cannot be guaranteed as everyone retains and breaks down pigment differently.
What happens after the procedure?
Like any tattoo, swelling and redness is unavoidable. You may experience an intensified vibrancy from the pigment causing a temporary darkness to your brows. As they heal, the swelling will desist, the vibrancy will settle, and the colour will restore to a natural finish. For best results, please follow the detailed aftercare instructions linked here.
Are your artists certified?
All our artists are licensed, certified, and insured. Each artist has completed a hands-on apprenticeship and received certification from a permanent makeup and tattoo artist as well as certification in Blood Borne Pathogens by Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Our artists are trained in all the newest application techniques and trends so you will always find something that suits your needs. White Rabbit Studios is licensed to tattoo by Texas State Board of Health.
How much do the different procedures cost?
Our prices vary by artist and procedure. Please refer to our pricing page for the cost.
How will I know if I need a touch up?
The best results generally come from a two step process. Touch ups allow us to analyze how the color regenerates beneath the skin and add in areas that may have healed incorrectly. Healed results are unique to each client and we do our best to create a consistent experience. Touch ups are beneficial for color restoration, shape correction, and/or any fine tuning the client desires and are highly recommended.
Who is ineligible for microblading?
You must be 18+ to receive a service at White Rabbit Studios. As a safety precaution, we refrain from working on individuals who are pregnant or nursing. If you have previously microbladed eyebrows by another artist, we do require a visual consultation via email (hello@white-rabbit.studio) before you are eligible to book an appointment. This is to ensure expectations and achievable results coincide with one another. If you are diabetic, you must insure your diabetes is well controlled. High blood sugar levels can complicate the healing process. We also refrain from working on individuals who are going through chemotherapy because they are at higher risks of bleeding and infection.
Do you offer in person consultation?
Due to the high volume of clientele we offer same day consultations that are included in the deposit fee. Any concerns and questions can also be addressed by emailing in a clear photo of your eyebrows to hello@white-rabbit.studio for a free online consultation.
What type of ink is used?
Our Cosmetic Tattoo Pigments are safe to use and are created to slowly fade over time. The pigments we use do not contain organic material (i.e. vegetables) as these have a higher risk of causing allergic reactions. We use only the highest quality of FDA approved ingredients as well as disposable sterile needles. What’s even better is that our pigments are 100% vegan/cruelty-free and free of heavy metals.
What is the industry standard for gratuity?
Gratuity is neither mandatory or expected, but is appreciated and fully left to the discretion of the client.
